REASONS FOR PRODUCING VIDEOCLIPS

In view of the fact that there exists no legal basis for SNEL (Safety Norm for Existing Lifts) in Switzerland and that only a few individual Cantons included different facts in their decree, VSA decided to produce a prevention campaign with video clips via Social Media. Neutral, without being alarming, showing possible dangers in the everyday use of a lift. The clips are received positively in feedbacks from Organisations, Insurers, Real Estate Managements, Cantonal Entities, etc. the clips can be freely shared.

• three short clips giving attention to 3 main risks of elderly existing lifts (missing car door, missing remote alarm and stopping accuracy). The movies shall sensitize building owners, professional facility managers and competent authorities in various Swiss Cantons to take care on the improvement of safety of exiting lifts
