The ELA Board decided to constitute the Working Group “Safety, Accessibility and Energy efficiency in existing Lifts” (SAEL WG), which will directly report to the Codes & Standards Committee. The mission of the new Working Group is to provide expertise and information on the synergy achievements in combined measures for improving safety, accessibility and energy efficiency on existing lifts. The information will be consolidated and published as a “White Paper”, giving guidance to all stakeholders and support to national associations analyzing the impact and the advantages for the owner by combining different measures to be taken. The Working Group will propose an ELA plan to communicate on the White Paper.
